The art of Tezhip-ornamentic
with Kamile Erdoğdular

Tezhip is the old orientalic technice in composition of floral und geometric design in finest accompishment through colour, gold and ink.
In this basic course we will learn with Kamile Erdoğdular the principles of ornamental flower and leaf compositions.

Kamile Erdoğdular has studiedmany years in Istanbul a wide range of technices and knows with sensibility and humor to awake fasciantion for this art

Songs of Ottoman Classic

Elif Uyar Ömürlü

We are happy to have invited for October the singer Elif Uyar Ömürlü  from Istanbul. 
As daughter from the famous Yusuf Ömürlü she has a strong link to the outstanding Kubbe alti society, and had been trained by here father over 40 years.

She will teach classical Ottoman songs and singing technique. The dates are

Rebab Workshop

The classic asian violine Rebab is one of the oldest Maqam-instruments and is famous for it's spheric tone. Master musician Oruc? Bey teaches in much detail according to the old method of melodious instruction the art of Turkish Maqam music.

The tuessday public rehearsals of classical Turkish Makam music in the makamhane are still going on: every tuesday between 20.30 and 22.30 in the makamhane, Römergasse 21, 1160 Wien.
Exceptions will be announced separately.
There are no rehearsals between july and september.
